Ron,
Ian and I have made an aircleaner for the twin Zeniths using the
original metal "Bat Wing" air horn from the series III and mated to a
K&N air filter that clears the hood. I would suggest going back to using
the "gravel strainer" and retro-fit it with washable, foam material from
the aircleaners used in the off-road motorcycles. They use a filter oil
in the foam and it's a lot cheaper than K&N.
