Beamers,
There is a delightful tale this female guest journalist tells
about her LBC in today's L.A. Times (a '64 MGB named
"Elizabeth - the Queen"). Her annual top lowering day and top
raising day events are recalled.
To end the piece, she recounts a conversation with another LBC
owner, while waiting in her mechanic's garage.
"Do you know why the English don't manufacture computers?",
she was asked.
"No," she replied, "Why?"
"Because they can't figure out how to make them leak oil."
Maybe that's why my XK120M had a 14 quart sump, with a gauge
on the dash!
