When this came up recently the consensus seemed to be that the float from a 65
to 73 Mustang would fit and these part numbers were offered:

Today I picked-up a Ford brass float, COAZ-9202-B, at a local Ford
dealer in Calgary, Alberta, for $12.16 Canadian, $9.75 US equivalent.

hi, all. yes, i'm the one who wrote in a few weeks ago about a non-working
gas gage while on a road trip. btw we won longest distance driven, 3rd in
the
TSD rally, and 3rd in autocross!
does anyone have the part number for that mustang float? i checked the tank
when i got back, and my float was a sink! i used a coat hanger to pull up on
it and the gas gage responded appropriately.
thanks.
