I owe you and the list an apology. You are correct, the TR6 cap/rotor
did not change. I am getting TR6 stuff tangled up with Mini stuff. The mini of
course had multiple changes in the dizzy, cap, rotor and lots of other stuff.
The only things that changed on the TR6 dizzy were the wires and the
vacuum dashpots. The cap and rotor never changed.

Could you be a little more specific about distributor cap and rotor change
during the production run? All catalogs I've seen only show 1 part number for
all TR6 model years. Is there a secret cache of properly labeled caps/rotors
that was squirreled away by Lucas just to maintain their reputation as Price
of Darkness? I have a 76 mostly stock TR6 and it runs fine with occaisional
misses. I could make a case that a misaligned cap/rotor combo could do that.
And help would be greatly appreciated.
