Thanks Henri, a picture would be very helpful. If you don't have somewhere to
publish it you can email it to me as an attachments and I'll put it up on
Photobucket.

It sounds like you have an elaborate system and that it is passive, by that I
mean it does not create negative pressure in the crankcase to actively reduce
pressure and extract vapor but it efficiently captures anything that the valve
cover spits out and is designed to suck anything smelly back into the carbs
via your vertical tubes. Is that a correct assessment ?

Just curious, what does the stuff that you capture in the bottle look like
(color, consistency). I have a purpose in asking that question as I was
surprised to see what is coming out of the rubber hose I attached to my valve
cover after the Weber installation..

Stan,

The set-up on my triple Webers is:
1 - stock carbon filter with fuel tank breather line; the anti-run-on
system is not connected.
2 - catch tank mounted behind the right side headlight; I used a
radiator overflow bottle;
3 - the valve cover breather is piped into the body of the bottle, to
catch the water and oil condensation from the valve cover.
4 - a =" breather pipe between the top/cap of the bottle to the
carburetors' air filters. The pipe runs under the triple K&N air
filters. There is a "T" fitting between the front and middle air
filters and an "L" fitting between the middle and rear air filter.
>From the T and L fittings there is a short pipe, about 3", that is
vertical and tucked in between the air filters. These two short pipes
are blocked at the end and each have two slits about <" wide and 1 ="
long which face the air filters. The slits allow the noxious vapours
to be pulled into the air filters from the bottle, with a passive
suction from the air filters. The pipe running under the air filters
is held in place with plastic twist-ties attached the air filters
clamps.

I plan to add one more pipe from the carbon filter to a "T" inserted
into the pipe running from the valve cover to the bottle; that pipe
would allow some fumes to be pulled from the carbon filter to the air
filters.

Overall it looks very neat and almost original because I used period
components

I am open to learn about improvements.
In particular I would like to find a way to use the anti-run-on valve;
my engine tends to 'diesel' when I turn it off.

If you want further details or photos please e-mail me.
