Not sure what you mean about having it fixed by an
American, but where was your short located? Have you
cleaned up your grounds in the engine bay?

I finally tracked down my longtime short and the
alternator has a
&^%$#$%
problem. This makes three of these suckers in less
than a year.
I'm keeping it and having it fixed by an American.
