Actually the overall condition of the frame isn't too bad. I'm going to try
the POR-15 route, put the trim piece back on and see how it all looks. If I
don't like it, I'll start to shop around.

Actually , I believe the Plastic is actually a powder coat thats pealing off
because water got behind it.

That looks pretty nasty, I'd look for a used one on Ebay.
