Thanks Joe,

I have looked at Burlen for needles, but for something I'm going to 
modify, it's hard to justify ~$30 plus overseas shipping for something 
that I'm going to "grind down" and possibly mutilate (not much 
confidence in myself there, huh?).  I talked to Joe Curto also, but not 
much help there . . .
