Sloane:
The thermostat housing should be natural aluminum color, no
paint. Over time, the aluminum oxidizes and tends to take on a brownish
color, but the correct finish is natural aluminum.

Subject: Original valve & breather covers paint color
Hi folks,
Has anybody run into a great match for the original paint on the valve &
breather covers? I bought a can of high-temp "aluminum", cap looked
blueish
enough to match, but actual paint is way too silver. Also, is it correct
that the thermostat housing should be painted the same? I'm not a
concours
guy by any means, but like to get stuff as right as easily possible.
thanks for info,
Sloane :)
