Mike & Tom---It is true that Triumph added baffles to the fuel tank in
the TR6. Some say this helped keep air (like a swirl pot?) from coming
up with the fuel, during extended, long turns, along with low fuel
levels. I can see this happening with the above conditions, but an
occasional or even several quick turns shouldn't be noticed or felt
immediately by the driver, even with an unbaffled tank.  I'm thinking
there are several minutes of fuel in the lines and carburetors that see
only the fuel. Gotta be something happening closer to the engine. No?

Mike,
A car that cuts out briefly in left turns only sounds like fuel surge
from an older, unbaffled fuel tank. Ask any TR250 owner about that. Does
it only occur with about 1/2 tank of fuel or less? Triumph modified the
fuel tank in the later cars to fix this.
I may be wrong but I think the various devices found between the carbs
and the valve cover are oil separators, not flame traps. The flame traps
are smaller devices for the vacuum lines.
