        There are pipe flaring tools that you can get that will do a
very neat job, but from your description I would say that won't work.
They are designed to flare a pipe that is already close to round.
Depending on how far the end is crushed, you will not be able to fit in
the tool.

Does anyone out there have a clever way to spread the female end of a
stainless steel muffler pipe. Will be installing a Falcon stainless
system and
noticed that the tabbed end of the pipes  are pushed in making it
impossible
to fit. Would like to spread them evenly for a neat fit. Thanks, Steve
