The inaugural Crater Lake to the Sea Rally, a one thousand mile car tour of
Southern Oregon and Northern California, has been announced by organizer,
David Hammond. The rally will be a five-day event which begins in Red Bluff,
California on August 28, 2006. During their journey, participants will visit
four National Parks: Lassen, Lava Bed, Crater Lake and Redwood, tour the
Rogue River in a jet boat and view some of the most diverse and beautiful
scenery in the West. High mountain passes, rivers, lakes, valleys, the
Pacific Ocean coastline, open farmland and historic towns are among the
sights to be seen along the route.
The rally is for classic cars, model year 1971 or older and only thirty (30)
cars will be accepted. Information and an application is available at
