I believe the CD-design ZS/SU carburetors get an unfair rap most of the time. 
Personally, I am amazed at the awesome gee-whiz engineering that was used to 
create such a simple device that doesn't need extra parts (accelerator pump for 
example) or fuel circuits to make it "go".  It there is such a thing as a 
perfect carburetor, these CD units approach it in my book.
