The Isky Z-19 is a warm cam that was one of the popular upgrades for the TR-6
back in the glory days. I had a spare wild Kent TH6 (?) cam reground to the
Z-19 profile and have been very pleased with the performance bump (I also
boosted compression to 9.5:1). The nice thing about mild cams is that there is
reserve valve lift margin to later upgrade to a different ratio rocker set
without hitting the wall with valve spring bind and other issues. Make sure
you get a quality set of lifters. You'll find a lot of Goodparts cam
enthusiasts here as well.
