Yes sir, much to my disappointment they were.
I had read about the (as you said) 'new, improved and the best thing since
sliced bread' door seals and was very eager to purchase them. I placed the
order and when I installed them they failed miserably on my TR6. I also
ordered the trunk seal, it failed miserably. I ordered the two seals under
the hood, and one fits so-so. I had to turn the seal that goes on the edge
closest to the windshield backwards so that it would get a better 'seal'.
If only one door had sealed badly, I would have blamed my car. However, the
seals failed on all accounts and I was just not impressed. I am doing a
frame-off, BTW. I ended up getting a trunk seal from Moss and what a great
difference - the difference between the two is night and day. The seal and
fit of the seals I bought from Martin is excellent. PLUS, he was a delight
to speak with and ask questions and so forth.
Regards,
Joe

Joe,
Just curious, were the TRF door seals you returned their new, improved and
the best thing since sliced bread that they started selling last year?
