late wiper/washer switch

Sorry my questions are not detailed transmission conversion or supercharger 
questions. (hehe)

Could somebody tell me how to get the knob off a late wiper/washer switch. 
Already broke one (NLS) and brother received an e-bay one and can't get it's 
knob off either. What's the secret?

Oh yea, thanks for the dash color advice. If anybody has any specific 
brand/color they believe was close to original, please reply to that one 
too.
