I've been reading the archives, but can't seem to find a clear answer to this
question. I'll be storing my TR6 at my
father's house (he has a second garage which is just perfect for storage and
some winter work). We'll be taking the
car from the Columbus, OH area down to Mt. Sterling, KY (which is about 45
miles or so east of Lexington), around a 4
and half hour drive. So is it agreed that using the dolly type where two
wheels remain on the ground is not suited for
this length of a trip and would damage the transmission unless we disconnected
the driveshaft? Is the trailer type
where the car sits off the road the best option? My father has a Mercury
Mountaineer with a hitch if that information
is helpful in getting answers. Thanks.
