The purple colorant in the DOT5 will "disappear" over time, so lack of that color does not rule out DOT5. The only way to know for sure is to mix a bit of the suspect fluid with known DOT3/4 glycol. If you have layers, the suspect is silicone. Rick O. 72 TR6 |
