help with a TR8

BlankI know this is a TR6 list, but I am hoping one of you can help. I am
working on a elderly friends TR8 and he would like a oil pressure gauge. The
new sending unit only has 1 wire hook up, where the old has 3. Is there a way
to by-pass the other wires or a new place to hook up the new unit?
