Cost of a new TR6

I sent this earlier, but did not see the posting. I apologize ahead of time if 
this is a duplicate for anyone.

My car was purchased new for $6500.00 Canadian back in 1976. I bought it in 
1983 for $6500.00. I got the original factor manual and a set of really bad 
headers along with the car.
Not much depreciation. Last year I had the car appraised for $26,000.00 
Canadian. This is a far better return than any of my retirement investments.
