If you don't want to scratch the paint, then you need to put some masking
tape around the hole... but if you are into buying tools - I highly
recommend using an air-powered riveter... you don't get the snap/kick that
the manual pop-rivet tool makes. Once you use the air-reveter, you'll
throw the old tool away.
