What size K&N's for SU HS6's?

Folks - 

Can anyone tell me if the 2 1/2" K&N pancake filters
will fit on a TR6 with SU HS6 carbs? Or do I have to
"settle" for the 1 3/4"?

Also, I've noticed the K&N's are available with offset
bolt holes - will the standard, i.e. centered, holes
work?
