Well that thought had crossed my mind. Page 486 of the Bentley book shows
the schematic for TR6 USA up to the end of 1971. The diagram shows that the
Green wire goes to terninal "B" and the Green/Brown wire goes to terninal
"L". The schematics for the TR250, the British versions and the rest of the
world show the flasher wired in the same way. The 75-76 cars apparently have
the green wire changed to a Light Green/Slate wire. This is shown as
connecting to the "B" terminal.
Interestingly, the Bently book is in conflict over this detail on the 72-74
cars. The 72-74 schematic on page 16 shows the Green and Light Green /
Brown wiring as on the early cars. However, the 72-74 schematic on page 488
shows the Light Green/Slate & Light Green / Brown wiring.
My car is a 70 and I seem to have the correct Green & Light Green / Brown
wiring and I have it wired as per the schematic. The flasher unit seems very
cheap and the case fell off when I was verifying how it was set up.
My Hazard Switch seems a little tired. I took it out last night, but I
cannot find my VOM, so I cannot check its continuity. If I have a short
when the hazard switch is on the off position, the turn signals will not
work, but I think everything else should be ok. I will bypass the switch to
see if I can get them to function. If they work, great - I think. Those 4
prong hazard switches are expensive. If they still won't work, I will round
up a new VOM and start tracing continuity.

Be careful on the turn signal. If you are using a Lucas flasher,
it is possible to wire them in backwards, and they won't flash if you
do.
