I am using the green Intermotor plug wires. I don't know if they are carbon 
or real wire.  I have been concerned that I may have a cam timing problem but 
was hoping that it would be something simpler.  will check the wires in the 
morning.  I didn't replace the fuel pump when I did the rebuild.  As they are 
relatively inexpensive I may try that route first. It does have a new see-thru 
fuel filter. Thanks to all who replied.
