This is no 1968 TR6. TR6's were built starting in late 1968 as a 1969 model.
In the same vein, TR250s were started in 1967 as a 1968 model. No different
than what always has been done with new car models. Very shortly you can buy a
2005 model year car.

If there were any Karmen bodies in '68 It would of been a prototype, not
available in the US. But thats not to say his dad had a '68 build date with
delivery in '69.
