under dash lamp

Thanks to all who responded to my query about the under dash lamp.  The hot 
wire to the socket is indeed purple/orange.  I had previously removed the 
buzzer as it was inoperative.  whether it was there or not had no effect on the 
courtesy or key lamp.When I get a chance I will pull the kick panel and see how 
the door switch is wired.  I may be anal about this light but I just like 
everything to work.  I will give a report at a later time.   Mike C   '71 bank
