Wheel trim rings

I don't know how accurate this information is since it is "double
hearsay" but.  I was told by someone in the LBC business that the
chrome trim rings sold by the big three were originally made for an
older Corvette and womewhere down the line it was discovered that they
fit the TR 6 wheels.  Thus the slightly different design than that of
the stock US aluminum piece.
