| Hi Chris, When I removed mine, the vertical link was out of the car. There is a round button or dome on the top of the threaded shaft of the ball joint. I looked to me like it was there to protect the threads if you had to hammer on it. So I held the vertical link in my hand and gave it a couple of raps with a carpenter's hammer. The ball joint popped out. It had a clean tapered joint -- no corrosion. Don Malling |
