dash top pad adhesive?

Well, after two weeks of patiently squirting PBBlaster (a penetrating 
oil) and some careful hammering, the windscreen frame popped off 
today.  Hooray!  One of the posts was a bit rusty but otherwise 
there's nothing to tell me why it was such a pain to remove.  But, 
patience prevailed.

ANYWAY, I'm ready to put on the NEW dash pad top and am wondering 
what this group thinks is the best adhesive to use?  It appears there 
was some sort of a silicone on there before...
