Hi Peter,

Your paint issues cannot be solved by wax. Paint
"blisters" are a big problem, they are usually a
result of the substrate being poorly prepped, or
worse case paint over rust. Orange peel and runs
are a fact of life today when using HVLP
equipment, but are easily fixed at the buffing
stage. To do a super job one needs a variable
speed buffer, I find it easy to buff as long as
you take your time and follow a few simple rules.
Runs can also be treated by shaving them down with
a razor blade, then buffing.

First order of business is to find out if those
blisters can be fixed. In the meantime get that
old wax off. One of the best ways is to use Dawn
dishwash soap. One washing and your back to paint.
I will only use Presta products at the compound /
polish stages and Zaino's for the wax. Do a search
on this message board, to me the best board for
any body / paint stuff.
