Mark---Looks like you dropped #1 cylinder either from a broken piston,
or burnt valves. Do a valve check/adjustment first to be sure they're
all closing. You may get lucky. Otherwise do, or have done a leak-down
test to determine the probable cause of where the pressure loss is.

Consider adding a vacuum gauge to the list of the tools you are thinking
of purchasing.
