Header & Ansa Exhaust

My TR250 currently has an Ansa exhaust system.  Single pipe to a Y then onto 
4 outlets.  Very nice sound.  I would assume that a header would be a larger 
outlet opening.  Am I waisting my time/money going from the larger header 
outlet to the smaller Ansa system?
