You will love your Cibie H4's! They are direct replacements for the
standard halogen, but use replaceable bulbs instead of the sealed beam
units. The cut pattern in the lens is really what you pay for. The
result is a very broad and extremely even flood of light in front of
your car. The standard bulbs, I believe are 55watt low beams and 60 watt
high beams, are more than adequate for most driving. The brights are
extremely focused and reach quite a ways in front of you. There is a
55/100 watt bulb if you really want to melt pavement, but requires new
relays in the wiring so as not to start a fire.
I have Cibie's on both my TR6 and my Ford Cortina.
I bought mine from different vendor, lens, bulb and shipping came to
about $70 each. Pricey, but the illumination, which is phenominal, is
well worth it. If you get a better price let me know.
