Rich---Borg&Beck did make a clutch that had "flat" fingers. These work well with the larger diameter KOYO throwout bearings. Note that the "cranked" finger angles of most B&B's are in the wrong place for the KOYO bearing, as they mate on the step you were referring to. I also found that the B&B with the flat fingers didn't have the same clamping pressure as the later(?) ones, and would slip under heavy load. If you should run across one with the flat fingers, the clutch cover may be painted with Black enamel. Dick |
