brake upgrade

Everyone:

I would suspect that the subject of brake upgrades has been discussed 
previously on this list, so I beg your indulgence regarding my inquiry.

I drive a mildly prepared 1973 TR6 with a stock brake set up and I am 
looking for ways to increase the cars braking power.  I would like to 
hear from those who have had good and bad experiences with brake linings 
or conversions.

The brakes are currently functioning as designed.
