Hi Brad, I've read several of the "poor man" impacts and while they sound good the theory is wrong. An impact wrench pushes IN on the bolt/nut question. A sharp rap on the end of a wrench just adds more torque. The impact relieves the tension between the threads and allow the bolt/nut to unscrew Steve Hanselman tr6@kc4sw.com |
