All,
Sorry to bomb the list with 2 emails in one day, does anyone know where to
obtain 7/8" rear wheel cylinders?
Lee Janssen (http://www.cs.du.edu/~ljanssen/tr6.html) recommends 7/8" wheel
cylinders to aid braking. Lee says:
"Girling Part number 64670475 According to the handy dandy Girling chart of
casting numbers to cylinder cross reference, that would be the casting
number and is used to make two different cylinders. It is used for the
64673299 which is in turn superseded by the 64674185, which just happens to
be the .70 bore TR6 cylinder. This 64670475 casting is also used for the
64673804 .875 bore cylinder which is used for the Morgan Four, Series 4, the
Plus Four and the Plus Eight. Essentially every Morgan from about 1959 on.
Now trying to find a Morgan part is a lot more difficult than a Triumph
part."
I cannot believe that this is unique to Morgan!
Thanks in advance,
