Walt---It depends a lot if the "under 12V" is seen with the headlights on, and the engine idling. I recall my Lucas alternator dropping below 13V at idle in like circumstances, but would eventually creep back to 14V at speed. It bugged me so much that the turn signals wouldn't blink some of the time, unless I raised the rpms, that when it was time to relace the alternator, I went with the Delco. Dick T. '73 |
