The correct color is flat black.
For the "daring" amongst you, there's a color called "ultra-flat black"
that Krylon used to sell that is a bit less "grainy" on the surface than
regular flat-black. This matters if/when you accidentally try to wax the
flat black.
Semi-gloss is too "shiney" compared to the original color.
This job is literally a $5 rattle can of paint and some masking and a
couple of hours... don't forget to "scuff" the paint before you apply the
black so you get good sticktion with the new paint. It's also a good idea
to remove the tail-lamps too. They look crappy in black
:-)
