Walter,
I think all I did was press or lightly tap the arm into the ball joint
taper. As turning the nut starts to get tight, friction between the
tapered shaft and the tapered hole should keep it from turning. By the
time that the nut begins to seat against the bottom of the link, you
should be able to tighten it to spec with no problem.
