Ummm, not to be a pain or anything... the octane doesn't give you the
power, it gives you the ability to advance the timing or play with the
mixture to get you closer to the limit of power in the system without
causing knocking/pinging (e.g. detonation). Fuel by itself is not the
source of power. The best fuel in a poorly tuned motor will result in no
measurable gains.
