Bulb replacement for dash instruments

Listers;
      Several months ago there was a discussion about replacement light bulbs 
for the TR6 dash instruments. I forgot to print out the information, but the 
general feeling was that the halogen bulbs were to hot, but someone found 
replacement bulbs that were brighter and would not burn or melt the plastic. 
Can someone help me out with the bulb information such as numbers and a 
supplier. Thanks.
