Peter---The prop shaft is splined so it will retract internally when pushed towards the differential. You should pick up about an inch of space doing this maneuver. Enough to separate the two flanges. Mark these two flanges before taking out the bolts. (They're supposed to be factory balanced as a unit, for whatever it's worth) Dick T. |
