In my humble opinion: Leave all well alone. If you have the need or urge to
restore to the original hoses and EGR set up then simply do that. The valve
train and all bearings should not be affected by the standard and type of
gas used. Slight adjustments on the vacuum retard might be needed as you
will have added some additional Hoses.
Talking about hoses.....What ever happened to Grandma Hoses?
