J to A Type Adapter

Rimmer Bros.  sells an adapter to fit a J-Type O/D to an early frame.  Has 
anyone tried this bracket?  They sell the "hardware" for about $75.00 + p&h. 
  Wondering if anyone knows of someone here in the states that might make 
something a little bit less expensive?
