Does the "3 o'clock" or "6'oclock" wire also control the pressure gauge?
If not, what runs that?

Subject: Oil pressure switch contacts

| Would someone tell me the configuration of the contacts on the oil
| pressure switch, the one with 3 contacts. I have checked the Bentley
and
| Dan Master's book, with no luck. Figure 6 on page 92 of Dan's book
shows
| 3 contacts but only 2 wires are shown connected to the switch. The
| wiring diagram on B6 for 74 TR6 shows 3 wires but doesnt show the
| configuration of the switch.
| Thanks in advance

John,

If the switch is positioned so that the contacts are at 12 o'clock, 3
o'clock and 6 o'clock, the configurations is as follows:

12 o'clock -- common pole, black wire to ground.
3 o'clock -- normaally closed (no pressure), white/brown strip to oil
warning lamp.
6 o'clock -- normally open contact (closes when there is pressure),
whjite/pink strip wire with insulated connector to anti run-on valve.
