I had the same problem with my TR-6. A friend and I worked through the wiring
and still didn't have any brake lights. After using thediagram in the haynes
manual, we switched to the diagram in the owners manual. It turns out that they
were different (the one in the owners manual was the good one). The previous
owner had hooked up one set of wires to the incorrect lug on the fuse block
after he had some work done. Everything worked fine after that. I guess the
key is to sift through all the information available too us.
