Thanks for your response. I resurrected my 1982 membership card and ordered
the catalogs from TRF. I have the Haynes and the Benton manuals but they were
not very specific on appearance. I must have a J type unit because it works in
3rd and 4th gear only. I have the stock steering column but will need to
replace the switch as the stalk is broken.

One more question, when you engage or disengage the OD do you momentarily let
off the gas until it engages?
