Mitch---The MSD won't affect the dwell angle. If your point gap is set around .015 and the meter shows and angle of 55, it sounds like the meter is set for a four cylinder distributor. Check the cylinder option here. Changing the point gap .002 should have made a slight difference to the dwell reading. A .014 point gap should appear as a 34 dwell angle, +/- 1. Dick T. |
