My '74 TR6 radiator has a rusted out corner, i.e., the cooling fins crumble into dust when I probe it. While there isn't a big loss of coolant, I assume the rust is due to a leaking core passageway. It must have been replaced at some point, since it has a drain valve. My question is what are my options, other than Moss or a used one? I see some speak of taking it to a radiator shop and "recoring" with modern core materials and adding extra area. Has anyone done this? Jerry Shaw CF20490 UO |
